This and That

Am I the only person who really just despises cell phone forwards? Okay, now I'm not a fan of email forwards. If someone forwards me something, I might read it (depending on the length), however I can guarantee that I will not forward it on. I also don't participate in chain letters either. I just don't. I'm a grown woman in my 30's. I've really got better things to do than to forward an email or respond to a chain letter. Lately, I have come to find out that I really don't like cell phone forwards. Seriously, who started this? Oh it drives me crazy! My phone will beep to let me know I have a text message. I'll get a moment of excitement because it might be from someone I hadn't heard from in awhile. I open the text and there it is "FWD". Sometimes the message has been forwarded so many times, there are numerous "FWDs". I really just get annoyed, it seems that lately I've been getting them quite a bit. I will usually delete the message. No more cell phone forwards. NO MAS! *Steps off of soap box*

Okay, on to bigger and better things. Well, not really, but change of subject. I had the thought a few days ago that I think I want to start collecting old cookbooks. It just sounds cool to have old cookbooks in my possession. When my gram passed, she took all of her recipes with her. They were all in her head and she never wrote them down. No matter what the family does to try to replicate, we can't do it. So, if I can't have my grandmother's recipes, I will take somebody else's. I am not really big on cooking. I am more of a baker. I suppose I could cook if I put my mind to it, it really can't be that hard, right? I will have to learn to do it eventually.

Next weekend, roomie and I are heading to the new aquarium! I can't wait! You better believe there will be pictures with the new camera of course. We are heading there for the main reason that the aquarium has sharks and if you know me, you know I love me some sharks! Speaking of sharks, I don't think I told you what the fam got me for Christmas. Oh it made me squeal with delight like I was a kid!

*Whispers* It's almost here, Shark Week will be here in March. And it's my favorite thing to watch, I will literally be glued to the television that week. The family got me this DVD set and now I can watch sharks anytime I want. So, there you go, that is why I'm CRAZY excited to head to the aquarium next weekend. Before I die, I want to see a Great White Shark, they're my favorite. Maybe one day...

I just heard the goofiest story on the news. Some guy when he was married to his wife gave her a kidney. Well, the wife cheated on him and now they are divorcing. So, this crazy guy decides he wants his kidney back.

Okay, wait, wait, let me get this straight. Your ex-wife obviously needed the kidney due to health reasons. It's not like she said, "Hey honey, why don't you give me one of your kidneys and I'll store it for you in case you ever need it?" So, now he wants his kidney back. *Clears throat* Although I didn't do so well in my A & P class, but I am not really sure she can do that. He decided that if his ex-wife couldn't give back the kidney, then $1.5 million dollars would suffice. *Shakes head* Okay, seriously?

Forwards, cookbooks, sharks, and kidney's...just another day in the life of B2.

Oh and one more thing, God is pretty much A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I could go on and on about that. Even recently, I've really been acutely aware of God's presence in my life. Something that is needed more than I can explain.

Quote of the day: "We're going to need a bigger boat." ~Jaws, my favorite movie, duh!

Scripture of the day: "Do what is good and run from evil so that you may live! Then the Lord God of Heaven's Armies will be your helper, just as you have claimed. Hate evil and love what is good; turn your courts into true halls of justice. Perhaps even yet the Lord God of Heaven's Armies will have mercy of the remnant of his people." ~Amos 5:14-15
